Federal Harm Registry Seeks Reports from Citizens Hurt by Trump Policies By Gren Whitman

August 29, 2025 by Spy Desk

Last January 20, President Trump raised his hand to swear that he’d “preserve, protect, and defend” the United States Constitution.

Upon taking the oath, Trump immediately ordered his minions — guided by the extremist right-wing text, “Project 2025” — to carry out an across-the-board assault on the federal government and various private institutions. Six months later, his assault continues.

Many American citizens have been harmed to date by Trump’s betrayal, and many more will be injured until his depredations are stopped.

Welcome to the Federal Harm Registry. Initiated and managed by the Maryland Democratic Party, this registry offers an immediate remedy to Trump, and a tangible means to fight Trumpism.

The Federal Harm Registry is designed to document the myriad adverse effects of Trump’s maladministration. It’s the tool to register specific harms that citizens have experienced or witnessed. No matter if we are Democrats, Republicans, or Independents, we must be active, not passive.

The Federal Harm Registry is a space for Maryland residents to report their personal stories — cuts to health care, higher living costs, job losses, housing problems, civil rights attacks, or any other consequences of this administration’s harmful policies. These reports will document and provide a guide for the eventual reversal of what’s happening in Maryland and in D.C.

Consider:

  • As a college student, have you been denied a Pell grant?
  • Has your family been denied SNAP benefits?
  • As a farmer, is your corn or soybean crop losing its value?
  • Have you lost your Medicaid?
  • Have you been harmed by work requirements for Medicaid and food stamps?
  • Has your child’s vaccine become unavailable because of an HHS mandate?
  • As a federal employee, have you been laid off or fired without cause?
  • Have you been arrested by ICE?
  • Have you been terminated from the U.S. military because of your sexual identity?
  • Are Trump’s illegal tariffs forcing you spend more for food and other necessities?
  • Do you know anyone adversely affected by the closure of Head Start for poor children, as well as child welfare, juvenile justice, and youth care programs?

The Federal Harm Registry invites Marylanders to document each type of damage to them from harmful federal policies under Trump. The registry also offers Marylanders a megaphone to voice their frustrations and fears, and their vision to improve our country.

So, take your first step to report any harm to you by contacting federalharmmd.com.

At federalharmmd.com, you will be able to:

  • Write or record your story.
  • Report any harm you’ve experienced, share an opinion, expose federal malpractices, and advocate for policies that help — not injure — Maryland families.
  • Help to publicize the Federal Harm Registry by sharing on Facebook, X, or LinkedIn.

If you have been harmed by Trump’s maladministration, the information you provide will be used to build a movement for economic justice and dignity. Your party affiliation is of no concern; all are welcome.

Together we can catalog the evils done by Trump’s dangerous, faux populism that’s hurting so many by reporting our injuries to the Federal Harm Registry. Consider doing so today.

I was harmed by the Biden administration. Who do I write to?

How were you harmed by the Biden admin, poor baby? You can write to me ℅ Spy. Let us all know how that dreadful Biden fellow harmed you. Did he kick you out of the military because of your gay lifestyle? Did he make you work for your health care? Did he detain you for being brown? WHAT? WHAT?

The snarkiness of your response highlights how the left operates – deflect and attack. One would have had to live in a cave to not be adversely affected by the last administration. Remember $6 gas and $9 eggs? Remember Rachel Morin, mother of children I worked with at the elementary school they attended? She was murdered by an illegal alien who was allowed to come with millions of others and stay under the previous administration – that harmed a whole community. Remember the Biden/Trump debate during which it became patently obvious that Biden was not in charge? Further discoveries will uncover further harm from having a non-President who spent a third of his term on vacation.

Your list of “harms” is just a list of loss of government benefits without any context. How many who lost these benefits were entitled to them in the first place? Removing 1.5 million illegals from the welfare rolls who have exploited the system is a good start. Next., look at those who have come to depend and expect government assistance and determine who have overstayed their welcome – government assistance is not meant to be a way of life.

Ms. Heaps, you fail to supply facts.
          • $6 gas? Not in Maryland. (FYI, most vehicles don’t use diesel fuel.)
          • $9 eggs? Not in Maryland. In some areas of California and other states, eggs were costly because of the bird flu outbreak, increased production costs, and regional supply and demand dynamics, but price cannot be attributed to the Biden administration.
          • Morin murder? It’s wildly far-fetched for you to connect this deplorable incident to the Biden admin. According to ABC News, her convicted killer “was arrested and expelled at least three times.”
          • “Millions of others”? Please cite your source for “millions.”
          • Your remarks re: the “Biden/Trump debate” are irrelevant.
I’ll ask you, Ms. Heaps, just what I asked Mr. Fick:
          • “How were YOU harmed by the Biden administration”
          • Mr. Fick has yet to respond.
          • If you decide to report how YOU were harmed, please supply facts.

During the Biden administration, and whi(CBP) recorded over 10 million migrant encounters at the border from January 2021 through mid-2024. This figure includes both those apprehended between ports of entry and those processed at official entry points.
According to FactCheck.org, about 2.5 million of those encountered were released into the U.S. during initial processing.
Roughly 2.8 million were removed or expelled.
The remaining figures include repeat crossers and those still in legal proceedings. Additionally, CBP reported approximately 2 million “known gotaways”—individuals observed crossing illegally but not apprehended.

How was I harmed?! Prices increased by approximately 19.3% from January 2021 to mid-2024, according to the U.S. House Budget Committee.
This translates to an additional $17,080 per year (or about $1,423 per month) for a typical family of four to maintain the same standard of living.
Yes, eggs absolutely reached $9 and gas did hit $6 – in Chestertown. While those prices were short-lived, the drop was minimal – $8 eggs make for an expensive omelet and gas over $5 meant at least $65 to fill my car – that was harmful.

As for Rachel Morin’s killer, yes, he was expelled 3 times but that is irrelevant because apparently he kept crossing over – illegally – and was here to murder Ms. Morin. That’s not tar-fetched – that’s a fact. That was a direct result of lax border security under the Biden administration – no argument.

You asked for facts, I gave them. However, it’s all moot when TDS prevents one from seeing and admitting that Biden was in a compromised mental health situation and that people who were unknown and unelected ran the country through autopen for four years

    Gren,
Ms. Heaps, I am guessing, and I are concerned with the USA community as a whole and how our neighbors were horrifically harmed by unchecked immigration, lack of the rule of law, terribly high prices on items throughout the country, not just for ourselves locally. Your view is a self-centered one. Perhaps the individuals who didn’t receive the benefits you mention were not legitimately eligible for them. Much waste, fraud, and abuse of benefits most definitely has been identified. If you aren’t scamming the system I’d bet you aren’t hurt. I am in fact benefitting from lower prices on gas. I am also very happy with the hardest working president for the benefit of honest hard working people that I have experienced in my lifetime, quite the opposite of sleepy Joe.

Ms. Lightburn, I’m assuming that you:
      • Are not a student denied a Pell grant.
      • Not part of a family denied SNAP benefits.
      • Not a farmer with a soybean crop losing its value because of Trump’s illegal tariffs?
      • Haven’t lost your Medicaid.
      • Haven’t a child whose vaccine isn’t unavailable because of a new HHS mandate.
      • Are not a federal employee who’s been laid off or fired without cause.
      • Haven’t been profiled and arrested by a masked ICE agent.
      • Haven’t been terminated from the U.S. military because of your sexual identity/
      • Don’t have to spend more for food and other necessities because of Trump’s illegal tariffs.
      • Are not adversely affected by the closure of a Head Start program.
      • Don’t care that Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s constitutional rights continue to be denied by Trump’s attorney general, his homeland security secretary, and himself.

Trump, not Biden, is president now and is responsible for these harms. You have the right to believe the nation was harmed by Biden, but that’s just your opinion and not supported by facts.

You also complained, “Your view is a self-centered one,” but if you re-read the list above of persons likely harmed by Trump’s reckless, cruel, and often illegal actions as our incompetent president, you’ll realize I’m concerned about others less fortunate than I. You should be, too.

Gren, it’s the racism. You know, the moral outrage of the poor who buy soda with food stamps but billionaires writing off private jets and yachts on their taxes? Not a peep. Their outrage is as cheap as that soda. As long as taxes are low, their idea of religion and morality is forced on a democratic
        populace, they are happy.
        How grotesque this all is.

Ms. Heaps serves up more of her goulash of claims:
    (1) HEAPS’ CLAIM: That prices increased by about 19.3% from January 2021 to mid-2024. COMMENT: Prices invariably go up. Always. So do salaries and wages. So do rents. So does the price of a house or a car. Clothing. Books. Movies. Tuition. Etc. Prices/costs always increase.
    (2) HEAPS’ CLAIM: That eggs reached $9 and gas hit $6 – “in Chestertown.” COMMENT: Saying so does not make it so. FACT: My truck log documents that the very most I ever paid for gas during the Biden years was $3.76/gal. on Aug. 7, 2023 (at Rock Hall Valero). ANOTHER FACT: Cost of gas never came close to $6/gallon. Eggs? I don’t really know.
    (3) HEAPS’ CLAIM: That when Biden was president, (quote) “people who were unknown and unelected ran the country through autopen for four years.” (end quote) QUESTION: Will Ms. Heaps kindly explain how “unknown and unelected” people “ran the country” “through autopen” “for four years”? COMMENT: Astonishing if true but seems more than a little Twilight Zone-ish to me.

Gren, we are at “stagflation” and can blame no foreign nation but our own:Trump’s inflationary tariffs
that we all pay. He is an economic disaster enabled by suck-ups in Congress afraid of loosing their MOC
      parking privileges at Reagan National.

The only thing getting cheaper these days is the White House decor.

MORE THOUGHTS ON THAT MAGIC AUTOPEN
Ms. Heaps offered her unsubstantiated and bizarre assertion that “people who were unknown and unelected ran the country through autopen for four years.”
      1. How many “unknown” people “ran the country”?
      2. Was the country run from the White House? Yes or no.
      3. If they were “unknown,” how can one be certain they were also “unelected”?
      4. How does one go about running the country “through autopen”? Step 1? Step 2? Step 3? Etc.?
      5. Does Trump use an autopen? Yes, he does.
      6. Does Trump run the country with an autopen? No. Other than his mouth, Trump does not appear to run much of anything; he leaves running the country to Herr Vought, plus War Secty. Hegseth, AG Blondie, Pro-Polio RFK Jr., FBI chief Patel, Obersturmführer Miller, and Dr. Oz, and they’re doing a miserable job.
      7. Thos. Jefferson was the first Chief Executive to use an autopen.
